An anthropologist, writer and researcher. He was born in Morocco In the enchanting city Mogador, located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Nissim emigrated with his family to Israel and settled in "Megdal Haemek". In his childhood, he studied in elementary school "Haare" and when he finished his studies he went to study at an agricultural school "Kfar Hanoar Hadate ". At the end of agricultural training; he served three years in the army. After military service he went to teach informal education in Kibbutz Neot Mordechi . In 1977 he joined the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel. In his work as a nature guide; He taught generations of students and adults to love and protect the natural values. During his work in Israel Nature Protection Society, he created a wonderful relationship with the Arabs in Judea and Samaria. His great love for Arab culture pushed him to do Primary research about "traditional Arab village in Judea and Samaria - customs, traditions and folklore.
One of the important issues that he researched was "wild plants for human benefit." during the research, he met Arab informants who were involved in traditional folk medicine and he heard from the informants about the popular uses of plants. This research finds practical expression in the Encyclopedia that Nissim wrote. The Encyclopedia is called the "Bag of Plants", a comprehensive four-volume and extends over 1700 pages. In the Encyclopedia "Bag of Plants" appears all medical plants, herbs and benefit plants. The Encyclopedia is written in Hebrew and the plants appear in the Hebrew alpha beta.
Over the years, Nissim Krispil, wrote more books in the field (they appear in the bibliography). In 1988, when the riots began in Judea and Samaria. Research work has become dangerous for Nissim . Then he decided to break off and go to Morocco. Nissim was introduced to Morocco in the years which He was guiding groups there. He decided to move the Research field to Morocco. From 1993 to 2003 he conducted research field in Morocco about the "Jewish-Arab coexistence." . Coexistence between Jews and Arabs in Morocco, continues for more than 2,000 years The research ran for 10 years. Nissim makes an effort to end it, not before he will interview all the Jewish elders who lived there and emigrated to Israel from Morocco. In this research have been documented all the villages in Morocco where Jews lived together with Arabs. Conducted hundreds of interviews with elderly Arabs. And photographed thousands of slides
